well alright i just gotta let it out cause i`m so happy haha, but i`m staying here! thank goodness! i really did not want to leave at all, it was like my worst fear. i may have had to beg a little to the assistants but it worked :) my half comp is leaving, and my real comp that i started the change with is sorta leaving too, i`m sure i`m mentioned it but they`re gonna join these two zones, so i should just be a normal missionary, maybe even junior comp, and so my original comp is gonna be the zl of the now mega zone. but it`s changing a lot right now, the role of a zl is getting smaller, so the role of the dl`s is a lot more important. we`re not gonna do as many things in zones anymore, now it`s just more in districts, so we`ll see how it goes. president carmack is good, he has a lot of ideas and i think it`ll take some time to adjust, but i think in the long run there`ll be some good success.
and thanks for looking at my byu stuff. i imagine my essays were a little rusty so that`s ok that you fixed them haha. my comp right now says i speak spanish in my sleep all the time and sometimes wake him up, so my mind is just on spanish mode now! :) i`m really scared of losing my spanish though, so i hope everyone`s prepared to watch movies in spanish and listen to spanish music and all that good stuff :) i`m gonna just try my best to stay in spanish, reading and doing everything i can, cause it was so hard to learn, it would be a shame and a waste to lose it now. so dad has to brush up too so we can talk together haha.
it hasn`t really rained a lot down here, this week anyway, only like once or twice, but everyone says that october is the worst month for rain so i guess we`ll see. in october last year i was on blas, and it did rain a lot out there, but i don`t know about here. and as far as my leaving date goes, i still don`t know, but everyone in my group keeps saying it`s gonna be the 31st. i imagine that next week or maybe the one after they`ll send the flight plans, i don`t know if you get them too, but i`ll be sure to let you know :) that`s cool trev has an interview though, i hope it goes well! but let`s see, on thursday for dinner we just had rice and chicken, typcial panamanian food haha, but i`m not starving by any means. i`ve actually been worried that i`m a little over weight, so about a month ago i started this thing called insanity, it`s by the same company that does p90x, so almost every morning i do that and i think it`s working, so i should be in decent shape when i go home :)
so we pretty much knew my comp was leaving, and we had to go to his other house to get his bags and stuff, so we spent part of the day in barrio centro. i love that place so much. we got a call after church too, and it was the familia tejedor, i think i told you about them, how i baptized their daughter and reacctivated the family and they just got sealed like 2 weeks ago, but anyway, they invited us over for dinner, and it was so awesome. we get there, and i start talking to the husband, and wow i don`t even know what to say, i asked him how he`s felt since going to the temple, and he started crying, he just said it was so awesome and he was so happy. then he started thanking me for sticking with them for so long and really giving them the chance to do that, he said they`ll always remember me and they loved me, and in spanish "amar" is like a pretty strong word, so that was just the best. i`m gonna miss them so much. they`re planning my birthday/going away party already haha, they`re just awesome.
and as far as my area goes, we`re working hard still with 2 people, they`re super cool and positive, but we haven`t gotten them to come to church yet. it`s always the worst just waiting in the church for people to come but then they never do. but they`ll be my goal for these last 6 weeks, so hopefully something happens there.
but i think that more or less sums it up. thanks so much for all you do, thanks for the prayers, thanks taylor too, i`m sure kids prayers get to heaven a little faster since of such is the kingdom of heaven :) so that makes me feel good. and i appreciate the little updates, and yes the babies do look good haha, and only 6 more weeks and i`ll see em! :) i hope everyone is doing well, as always, thanks again!
much love,
elder paskett
